Waterloo shutter clicks

"Next to a battle lost, the greatest misery is a battle gained"

                                                                         (Duke of Wellington)

Constructed in 1826 on the spot where the prince of Orange, Willem I, was sad to be injured on 18 June 1815, the Lion's Moud offers an exceptional global scenery of the Waterloo battlefield and surroundings.

The ruins of the Hougoumont farm are certainly one step back to the 18 June 1815 in the field of Waterloo. Its ruins themselves represent the best monument to the brave men who are buried beneath them.
